Former Milwaukee Brewer Willy Adames faced off against his old squad for the first time since legendary broadcaster Bob Uecker‘s death on Friday … and after the game, he opened up on just how much the loss affected him.

The shortstop spoke with the media following the Giants’ 9-2 win at Spring Training … and he was clearly emotional talking about the commentator.

Adames said he was hoping to attend Uecker’s funeral … but wasn’t able to as his family elected to keep it private.

“He was the energy and spirit in Milwaukee,” he said. “And I only played there for four years, but it felt like I played there for like 15 years. The way he made everyone feel was something special.”

A reporter asked him if he was willing to share his conversation with Bob following the Brewers’ shocking exit from the Wild Card round. While he chose to keep the specifics of the talk between them, he said it was a deep one.

“He said two words and I was already crying,” Adames said. “It was very tough, emotional for sure. It was kind of like saying goodbye.”

Uecker passed away back in January. Before becoming a play-by-play announcer for the Brewers after his professional baseball career.

It’ll be a while before we get the full story on Gene Hackman, his wife Betsy, and their dog’s suspicious deaths — ’cause TMZ has learned that even with the initial autopsy, the final report will take a few more weeks.

Sources tell TMZ that after the autopsy is done by the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator, it’ll take 4 to 6 weeks for toxicology and other tests to come through before the final report is issued.

Authorities have been super puzzled over their deaths — making a note of how Gene’s front door to his NM property was open when they entered for the search warrant of their house.

They noted how Betsy was found in the bathroom along with a space heater and pills — and it looked like she had been dead for a while. Her body was in a state of decomposition, with facial bloating and mummification in her hands and feet.

What’s more, the heater was right next to her corpse, and the pills were scattered nearby. Police say Gene was found in a separate room.

The deceased German Shepherd was found 10 to 15 feet from Betsy, while two other dogs were found alive and healthy — one inside the house and the other outside.

The fire department checked the scene and said they didn’t find any signs of a carbon monoxide leak or poisoning.

NFL superstar Stefon Diggs just filed a lawsuit against a former fling … accusing her of assaulting him, threatening to torpedo his career and attempting to extort millions of dollars out of him.

The Houston Texans receiver filed the papers this week … claiming model and TV personality Mulan Hernandez — who he had a “casual relationship” with for months — showed up at his apartment around 6 AM on June 7, 2024 after a night of partying and proceeded to “aggressively berate” him.

Diggs states Hernandez entered his gaming room and ignored his instructions to leave … and despite his attempts to defuse the situation, she continued to go off on him.

Eventually, Diggs says Hernandez shifted her focus to his possessions … destroying an expensive PC, a $130,000 watch and even tossing his phone in the toilet for good measure.

Diggs claims she also punched him in the chest several times … and said, “You won’t be playing this year” — which he took as a threat on his pro career.

He eventually left the home after Hernandez refused to leave.

Diggs says he proceeded to distance himself from Hernandez following the incident … and after several failed attempts to connect, she allegedly resorted to an extortion attempt with help from her friend, Brianna Mack, who was also present at his home during the altercation.

The suit states Hernandez initially visited a hospital in the evening of June 7 for nausea and vomiting after falling due to a wet kitchen floor … but on June 14, she went to a different provider and claimed she had similar symptoms after being “punched in the back of the head with a closed fist.”

Diggs adamantly denies ever hitting Hernandez and says any physical contact was out of self-defense. He also says he had no contact with her leading up to the second doctor visit.

Diggs claims Hernandez and Mack have since tried to extort him for millions … and he’s hoping the suit puts an end to the madness.

He’s suing both women for trespass, intentional infliction of emotional distress, assisting or encouraging/aiding and abetting and conspiracy. He’s also suing Hernandez for assault and conversion.

Diggs is seeking monetary relief over $250k but no more than $1 million.

LAFC defender Sergi Palencia is currently under investigation … after being accused of using a derogatory term toward a Colorado Rapids player during Tuesday night’s contest.

Play was halted at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles during the 85th minute of the Concacaf Champions Cup match … when Rapids defender Chidozie Awaziem began speaking intensely with a referee over what he deemed hate speech.

The official then talked to both coaches and the respected team captains before the action was resumed … which ended in a Rapids loss by a final score of 1-0.

In a statement, CONCACAF announced it launched an investigation into the alleged incident — saying it would “involve a thorough review of the match officials’ reports, available match footage, and the respective positions of both clubs.”

Postgame, Rapids manager Chris Armas briefly addressed the situation … saying the club is fully behind Awaziem as the probe plays out.

LAFC released its own statement … saying that they have spoken with its players about the incident — and they are “A club for all and stands against hate in any form.”

A former Denver Broncos special teams player has reached a settlement with the NFL … after suing the league for its role in a season-ending knee injury he suffered during a game in 2022.

TMZ Sports broke the story — Aaron Patrick tore his ACL in overtime of the Broncos and L.A. Chargers’ “Monday Night Football” contest at SoFi Stadium after stepping on a mat in order to avoid colliding with an NFL official positioned on the sidelines.

The mat was placed on the turf to cover cords and cables for the league’s instant replay monitors … but Patrick claimed his foot got caught in it, causing his knee to bend awkwardly.

The 28-year-old pointed the finger at the NFL, L.A. Chargers, ESPN and even the mat company after the incident … claiming his ailment could have been avoided.

He sued for unspecified damages, including lost bonuses and future earning potential … and earlier this week, a conditional settlement was reached with all parties named in the lawsuit.

The terms of the deal are unclear.

Patrick’s attorney, William M. Berman tells us his client is happy to put this chapter behind him and get back to playing.

Aaron Gordon has plenty of support these days … thanks to his new underwear campaign.

The Denver Nuggets forward dropped down to his skivvies for his partnership with SAXX Underwear — known for their “superior comfort” pouches — and yeah … the dude is attracting some attention to his crotch.
